Everyday our bodies do a great deal of work for us and sometimes we aren't aware of how much it does in a day when we are working, exercising, playing, & doing our daily activities. Our stress levels can also be a factor in muscle tension.
Give your body some relaxing downtime, learn how to self massage, stretch, & nurture yourself
Meet the Magi, Lupa!
I’m a Certified Neuromuscular Massage Therapist and Health Educator, trained at the National Holistic Institute in Emeryville. I specialize in intentional, focused bodywork designed to help reduce pain, restore mobility, and support overall well-being.
After my own car accident, I experienced firsthand what it’s like to lose strength, mobility, and connection to the body. I lost 15 lbs of muscle, had to rebuild my strength, and learn how to navigate life with new injuries. That recovery process deepened my appreciation for healing; physically, mentally, and emotionally. It reminded me how important body awareness is, and it reignited my passion for the work I do.
Over the years, I’ve worked with clients recovering from injuries, chronic pain, and stress-related tension. My approach is always personalized with every session that is guided by your body’s unique needs, your lifestyle, and your goals. I take into account how you move, how you feel, your posture, and your health history to help your body find balance again.
Please note: I’m not a yoga teacher, a stretch coach, or a medical professional, I cannot diagnose medical conditions. My role is to support your healing journey with therapeutic massage and bodywork that promotes awareness, relief, and alignment.
I’m fully vaccinated and offer mobile services throughout the Bay Area - San Francisco, Marin, Contra Costa, and Sonoma County. You're always welcome to book a massage, join a future event, or simply explore new ways to connect your mind, body, and soul.
Let’s get you feeling grounded, strong, and in tune with yourself again.

There's so many benefits when it comes to booking a Personalized Self Care session, whether it be from a old or new injury, body disfunction, overworking or every day stress. Psychological benefits can also be obtained when the body relaxes and the hands on care is improving the quality of one movement through life. This method of whole-self integration opens one to greater possibilities of mental and psychological health. Once specific issues are resolved, periodic maintenance sessions are beneficial.

Trigger points (TrPs) are areas within muscles that are sensitive to pressure and can cause pain or discomfort. They often develop due to muscle overuse, injury, or stress, and they can refer pain to other parts of the body.
During trigger point therapy, a massage therapist applies direct pressure to these trigger points using their fingers, thumbs, or specialized tools. The pressure helps release the tightness in the muscle and alleviate pain.
Trigger points can be found by palpating (feeling) for areas of tenderness or tightness within the muscle. Sometimes, they may also cause referred pain, meaning the discomfort is felt in a different area of the body than where the trigger point is located. Once a trigger point is located, sustained pressure to the area, often combined with gentle stretching or movement. This helps to deactivate the trigger point and release the tension in the muscle.
Myofascial therapy aims to release tension and restrictions in the fascia to restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall function. It involves applying gentle sustained pressure to specific areas of the body where fascial restrictions are present. Myofascial therapy techniques can include manual manipulation, stretching, and massage techniques designed to target areas of tightness and tension in the fascia. These techniques aim to break up adhesions and encourage the fascia to become more pliable and flexible.
Trigger Points vs. Myofascial Release: While trigger point therapy focuses on releasing tight areas within muscles, myofascial therapy targets the fascia surrounding muscles. Both techniques can complement each other and are often used together to address muscle pain and tension.

Neuromuscular therapy (NMT) is a in-depth examination and treatment of the body’s soft tissues using regionally different protocols that are taught in a step-by-step process. These hands-on techniques are built upon a Kinesthetic foundation and guided by clinical evidence. NMT can integrate well into any practice setting and is frequently included in mainstream medicine, integrative medicine, chiropractic care, sports/athletic settings and multidisciplinary clinics worldwide.
NMT assessments and examinations primarily address:
-
ischemia (tight tissue with reduced blood flow)
-
myofascial trigger points (hypersensitive points within muscles that give rise to referred phenomena, including pain)
-
neural entrapment (pressure on nerves by muscles and other soft tissues), and nerve compression (pressure on nerves by osseous and other bonelike tissues, such as cartilage or discs).
-
postural assessment (assessment of the position of the body as a whole)
-
dysfunctional gait patterns (manner of movement when walking)
